Loved the location, staff was outstanding. Beds are always the most comfy ever. Food not as amazing as our Chicago Sofitel. Overnight valet crazy at $80 bucks. 10th floor patio was horrendous. Thought I was getting some version of a French patio with beautiful pots and furniture not even close. Was that dark concrete overhang that faced the noisy street. Thankfully, they were able to move us to a lesser category with double French doors overlooking the hills that was night and day for me.

I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Service was amazing. The decor is beautiful top-notch all the way.

Excellent staff and facilities. Pool and restaurant services were top notch. Friendly and helpful at every turn. A little limited with options for morning coffee and sunset cocktails. Dolphin pool was entertaining and educational. Very peaceful alternative to downtown Waikiki.

This is a beautiful upscale traditional hotel, with expansive gardens, landscaping and resort feel. Located in a quiet upscale residential neighborhood, it's just three minute or so drive to local shopping, museums (the Huntington, Norton Simon etc.) and other entertainment. The hotel offers several restaurants, including afternoon tea and a lively Bar (the Tap Room) with live music. Staff was friendly and professional. Would definitely return when staying in Pasadena and/or the LA area.

Stunningly well designed and maintained. Super relaxing. Extraordinary helpful and kind staff. Ridiculously good food. For us it was truly worth the marginal extra cost. When we went, it wasn't *that* much more expensive than the other properties but is by far the nicest. Nice snorkeling right off their beach which is one of the only sand beaches around. A large family pool and a very nice adult pool. Excellent rooms. Just beautiful.
