Zoltan the concierge was fantastic and really went the extra mile

We had an issue with luggage we left with the office. We were told we had until 6:00pm to retrieve, as the office stayed open until that time. We got back at 5:40pm and office was closed and locked. I called after hours number AND NOONE EVER CALLED ME BACK. I had to stand by door until I got lucky and some resident of the building came out and kindly let me in to the hall where I had left our luggage. And door jamb of bathroom came off and bathroom was small and there was mold around the bottom Moulding. LOTS of stairs to get to our room- be advised that with no elevator, you better not forget anything! Stairs were ok, but the luggage situation was unacceptable!

Overall, this place is an OK stay. The room is nice. We had the English basement so we had a window with a partial sidewalk view. The room is small. Hot water is intermittent. This end of town is a bit far from most of the popular areas. All in all is was fine, but I wouldn’t stay here on another visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Excellent Stay at Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel** I had a wonderful experience at Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to everything—major attractions like Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, restaurants, and shopping areas are all within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing space after a full day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience with great service, great comfort, and a perfect location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic location, amazing helpful staff, food great

Our room was nicely decorated and we loved the big window that looked out on the trees. The staff was always responsive and helpful, especially helping us get suitcases upstairs. Having a wonderful restaurant downstairs was a real plus after a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was not in the type of neighborhood I expected. My room (96) on the 0 floor required me to go through two closed doors. The hall lights were motion activated and stepping into a dark, closed hall was a little unnerving. 1 front desk person was very nice, all others were pretty disinterested. Although my room was fine, I heard many other guests complain about maintenance issues. The free breakfast consisted of either croissant or chocolate roll. They said juice, but in four days I never saw any. You had to be there early or they ran out as they were first come, first serve. If anyone was making noise in a nearby room you could hear all the noise All in all, I would not stay there again.
