East Side Kid friendly Vacations

Stayed here last year and it was exceptional. This time service just missed the mark. Tried calling front desk multiple times with little to no help. One time the call got disconnected and they didn’t even bother calling back. Front desk staff that checked us in was a little sassy and commentary not appreciated. Staff (from my experience last year) was kind courteous and very friendly. May explore other options next year.

The hotel was very clean but several items in the room and throughout the hotel needed repair and maintenance. There were lots of dings and chips out of doors, baseboards, furniture etc. there was a lot of peeling wallpaper. Not a big deal if those things don’t bother you, and the cleanliness makes up for much of it. We didn’t receive the friendly support from staff that others mention. Not that anyone was rude, but we didn’t feel anyone went out of their way to be helpful. For instance, they didn’t offer to help with luggage on our way out at all. Stood next to me and watched me struggle with the suitcase. I also requested a high floor room and they gave us a room at the back of the hotel with no view at all. They charge a large fee for the exercise room but didn’t even tell us where it was. Overall the cleanliness and daily housekeeping balanced out these small things. We wouldn’t book this hotel again though.

My biggest issue with the hotel was that there was no security to access the guest room floors. Anyone could walk in off the street and get on an elevator without a room key.

The staff was exceptional -very friendly and helpful! There was a mix up with the type of room I requested but they managed to rectify the error by moving us on the second night. To compensate for this inconvenience, we were given vouchers for complimentary dinner and drinks at the Fitzpatrick restaurant. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Thank you!

Last minute booking of the 2-bedroom suite with terrace, turned out to be an excellent and spacious accommodation with terrific staff. The included breakfasts were robust and helped make the booking a better value. You can’t beat the views from the room’s terrace. This worked out really well for our family to explore Manhattan from the Grand Central station area.

Everything was clean and staff was helpful. Only negative i would say if there is one is that the AC did not have an automatic function. You had to manually turn on or off if you got hot ot too cold in the room
