Tidewater Region Kid friendly Vacations

The room was very pleasant - I would have preferred a higher floor but bed was comfortable and room was clean. Check in was easy - I was at hotel only to sleep so I didn't utilize restaurant or bar area but they looked really nice.

Clean rooms, great amenities and delicious breakfast

The place was nice, BUT the hidden charges of Urban Experience charges were a surprise, and of course I was not happy about.

I’ve never stayed at a 5 star hotel that charged you for shampoo, soap, or body wash. Considering the price of the hotel I would never expect to see a notice saying we would be charged for taking shampoo. It gives the impression that the hotel is nickel and diming guests. In addition, the idea of reusing stuff from other guests is also gross. The hotel also didn’t provide toothbrushes, combs, or basic toiletries that other 5 star hotels provide. Lastly to add onto the nickle and diming, never in my life have a stayed at a 5 star hotel that charges for sauna and steam room use. Either include that service in the base price or put a notice saying that a charge is required.

Love this hotel, very comfortable and convenient, everything is new style even in an old building. The service is great too. Just the microwave is a little hard to find

Room was spotless and the concierge service was fast. Would definitely like to come back for a spa day as the spa was completely booked up during our stay.
