Near the airport but the way to the home apartment is not giving lol

This hotel was amazing, the rooms were fantastic, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the staff were the best. I believe their names were Joan (there were 2 ladies named Joan) and Shem (I didn't get the spelling), they were the most helpful and nicest people ever at the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback, they really didn't want you swimming in the ocean - the first time they said it was after 5 and no lifeguard was on duty, the second time it was the middle of the day and they said no lifeguard on duty. There were several groups wanting in, finally they brought a lifeguard and we were able to get in water. They really need to fix that - just let it be swim at your own risk. Snorkeling didn't seem to be that great, clear water but not much to see.

Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!

Too quiet , not ideal place for young people. Facility is clean , very accommodating staff / friendly but the only drawback- road to the resort too rough , even tricycles a bit hesitant to drive you there. The place a bit far from places to eat & Alona beach too !

I liked the property provided a rental to use around the island. They also have a shuttle that will transport you to the airport- very convenient on saving time not having to book a ride. A simple yet efficient place to stay.

Great rooms, great facilities, great beach and excellent location. Did I mention the 4 hour happy hour? Have stayed here before and will happily stay again.

Very nice staff. They accomodated me even though my reservation was canceled due to the ferry closures the day i was scheduled to check-in. Great breakfast!

The property is a bit dated but still lovely and with amazing views. Wonderful staff. Large rooms. I wouldn't rely on the internet, though. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. It's the best value on the island.

This property has a certain charm, is very atmospheric with pretty gardens, but seems passed its prime. The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive. Seemed very over priced despite private pool.

Our stay at Marquis Sunrise Sunset Resort was absolutely fantastic, and June deserves a huge shoutout for making it extra special! June took us around Bohol, showing us the most breathtaking spots with such professionalism and care. His knowledge of the island and ability to tailor the experience to our preferences made our trip unforgettable. Every moment with him was well-planned and stress-free – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide! The resort itself is a gem – serene, beautiful, and relaxing. The views are stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking to unwind. On top of that, the team at Marquis Sunrise Sunset made us feel so welcome. A special shoutout to Christian and Vince for their exceptional service and friendliness throughout our stay. Your warmth and hospitality added the perfect touch to an already amazing experience.
