South Island Cheap Vacations

Once again this is my third stay here and it’s all about location and view. This time got the suite with balcony and that’s a game changer, taking in the amazing view through a window is nice but sitting outside taking in the cool clean air is worth the extra money. I still believe the whole place is in need of some serious updating but is very clean and staff amazing. Food options still not great. But would be happy to stay here again

There were some quirks that made it hard accessibility wise and just felt a bit disorganized. While the apartment was nice, well layed out, quiet and had good heating, Apartments 1 and 2 are at the far end of the building on another street, then had multiple sets of stairs to get into them, I had a sprained ankle at this time so it made getting in and out quite difficult. Also the TV in the main bedroom wasnt a smart TV so you just got Sky channels. Overall, I wouldnt not stay here again, but if you get either of these rooms, I hope you are mobile and your suitcases are small and light :)

So close to the airport and so affordable. Super easy to wake up for an early flight.

Broken glass left in kitchen, broken shower door, tv didn’t work!! But clean and staff tried to sort out tv but couldn’t.

I have stayed at the fable multiple times now. The buffet breakfast is decidedly average and not worth the $$ imo, but the hotel is great, the staff are nice, it's central and easily accessible and they have a nice sauna. I always check here first when I'm staying in Christchurch!

Very clean,great service from all the staff,and a well appointed facility at a great price,I would certainly recommend this place to anyone.
