Sunshine Coast Cheap Vacations

The idyllic island and sandy beach, cheerful staff, relaxing and well appointed accommodations, opportunities for activities and merry-making, and delicious food all make this an exceptional getaway.

It was perfect for our extended families needing to stay close to Nadi International Airport (5 min drive) for an early morning flight to Australia or, in our case, a late flight to Canada. Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to check out at 7 pm. Plenty of bedrooms exist for large or multiple families, each with its own ensuite. The communal family area overlooked the pool and views of the Fijian mountains. The pool was super-clean and a suitable temperature for extended swims. The entire estate is behind two security gates, so we felt very safe during the evening. There was also a brand-new supermarket only 3 minutes drive that had everything you need to drinks, snacks and cooking. Our only concerns were that the WiFi was only working in the communal area and that the air-conditioning wasn't turned on before arrival, which required a few hours to cool down each room. The hosts greeted us on arrival and showed us everything we needed. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Staff are great but the facility is in need of a refresh. The beach is hard to swim due to rocks and severe low tide. The wifi is weak and drops constantly. Feels like the owners need to re-invest to keep this a ‘premium’ experience. This is no reflection on the staff - they are wonderful.

We enjoyed our time at Sofitel. It is a beautiful resort, the restaurant are excellent. We loved dining at Koko’s. The food there was absolutely amazing, and the cocktails were the best!! My only disappointment was, if you have a late flight they allow you to continue to use the pool area, which is great…but they don’t have a place where you can get cleaned up after you’ve checked out. The construction noise is a little loud too. Once that is done I’m sure it will be amazing! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall would recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff were very friendly and it was especially helpful that Fiji Airways had a desk at the hotel that could check our luggage directly for our flight.

Best resort to stay in taveuni. Amazing view, amazing bungalows. Loved it all.
