Terschelling Island Cheap Vacations

Beautiful hotel in a quiet, scenic part of the city. The number 9 tram takes you from the Hague central directly to a stop across from the hotel. Hop on that tram again and get to the beach in about 10 minutes. There's a nice grocery store about a 15 minute walk along the canal and through an authentic Dutch residential area. A couple of points: to get on/off public transit requires scanning your bank or credit card. Had I known this in advance, I might have brought a card for transit use only. Also, there's major construction occurring immediately out the back of the hotel. If you're sightseeing during the day, this isn't an issue. BUT, if you're hoping to relax in your room during the day, this might be an issue.

Decent hotel for the price. The breakfast was not worth the cost, but there’s not much else in the area.

Location was perfect. Effortless to get to the train station. Room was excellent. Another elevator would help at busy times. Building looks great as well.

The location for Schipol was great. We had an early flight as a stop over and the hotel shuttle starts at 4:45 am. Perfect timing for what we needed.

Hotel Amrâth was the perfect hotel for a first stay in Amsterdam! It is in an excellent location since it is within walking distance of Central Station and many of the key sites and shopping areas. The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The staff was very attentive. The decor and vibe was fantastic. We loved the proximity to the Anne Frank museum as well as to the 9 street shops, The breakfast was great and even included Champagne if you desire!

Everthing was perfect

We arrived early in the morning and were able to store our luggage before check in. We did have to pay city tax that wasn't included in the Expedia pre-paid price (just a heads up) but no deposit/ card hold like most American hotels. The hotel & room were exactly as pictured and met our needs. The breakfast was very good. The building is older and seems to be a few buildings joined together, so is not ADA friendly. There was a very small elevator to access our part of the building & once on our floor, to access our room, there were 2 steps up due to a level change. This wasn't a problem for us, just a consideration for other travelers. I had to take a star off for the stay and the cleanliness due to an issue with cigarette smoke coming into our room on multiple days. Unclear if it was coming from staff or other visitors. Unclear if the entire building is meant to be non-smoking, or if just our room was. When we called the front desk the first time we noticed it (and the worst time it happened), they suggested it was coming from the street but we were on the 4th floor & was most noticeable from the bathroom or innermost part of the building. Luckily it seemed to only happen in spurts during the middle of the day & it was warm enough that we could open the window to let the room air out. There were times the room felt stuffy and the temperature controls were completely unresponsive, so our only option was to open the window.

This hotel was a great location. We were there for Kings Day, so if you are going to be there at that time of year and need to get a cab, they do not run to the hotel but a little further away which was not far at all. Staff was great!

Quiet but very convenient spot. Walking distance from Vondelpark, tram stops, grocers, cafes and little shops and boutiques. Very spacious yet cosy rooms.
