Great location, dated apartments — check the parking before you book The location is the standout: you're right by Bajondillo beach, with the promenade, bars and restaurants on your doorstep and the centre of Torremolinos within easy reach. The apartments are a mixed picture. Furnishings and decor are dated, but the bathrooms have been renovated and the air conditioning makes a real difference in summer. Cleanliness is not an issue — the apartment and common areas were well maintained throughout. Dated is not the same as dirty here. Each room has a cooktop, utensils and coffee-making equipment for simple meals. Nothing consumable is supplied, though — no coffee, and no sponge or washing-up liquid despite the dishes being your responsibility. Stop at the shop across the road on day one. Parking was our main disappointment, and the reason we booked here. It is advertised as on site but not guaranteed: at the end of August both the main and the underground car parks were full. The alternative offered was a public garage a twelve-minute uphill walk away, or sorting it out yourself. The suggested workaround was to rise early and wait for another guest to leave — and the space is only yours while the car is in it, so a trip to the shops puts you back to square one. A functional, well-positioned base rather than somewhere you'd stay for the interiors. If you're driving in high season, treat the parking as unreliable.
