Nothing to complain about

I have stayed at this hotel two or three times before this most recent visit, and each time I was given a reasonably sized room with a window. Unfortunately, the room I received during this stay was probably the smallest I have encountered in many years of traveling—and it didn’t even have a window. I asked the front desk if I could switch to a room that at least had a desk and chair, as I needed to get some work done during my stay. I was told that the only way this would be possible was to pay nearly double the rate, despite the hotel not being at full capacity. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference, such as a staff member making an effort to accommodate a returning guest when possible. Unfortunately, in this case, the front desk staff didn’t seem interested in trying to find a solution. It was particularly disappointing given my positive experiences during previous stays.

Highly recommend, waterfront deluxe room w/fantastic views of harbour, great location with a lovely cafe for quick breakfast/cappuccino. Would stay again!

Absolutely lovely small hotel, with an elegant and comfortable bar and multiple common areas on every floor. Room are spacious and cozy. Location is perfect. Avoid 5th floor due to slopped ceiling over the bed and smaller windows. I hit my head at night pretty hard on the slope, but that was the only flaw. Breakfast is great. Would definitely stay here again (just on a lower floor :).

Great location, minutes walk to anywhere on the island including restaurants and shops and the ferry to other destinations. The room was clean, nicely furnished and large. We had the ensuite bathroom room for 4 people. The service at the desk was great too. The wifi wasn’t very stable so don’t count on it, the rooms didn’t have a mini fridge and the room didn’t have a closet to unpack your bags. But overall, we were happy we stayed at this hotel. The room was nicer than the photos portrayed, and the location was very convenient.

Nice location. Close to restaurants and metro even though residential. Great breakfast with a wide range of offerings. Comfy beds and room.
