If you like a very firm bed, this is the hotel for you. I still rated the hotel high because it’s gorgeous, accommodating, has lots of amenities and spacious rooms.

Staff was wonderful and very friendly. Hotel is very convenient.

Great stay! Friendly staff. If not for slow wifi, could have been five stars.

I assume this used to be a 4.5 star hotel, but I don’t see it that way now. The hotel hasn’t been maintained at that level in awhile (lots of worn out decor around the hotel, including in the rooms). Breakfast was more like a 3 star hotel (it was good, but not 4.5 star good). Service (at the restaurant and checkin) were okay. Overall, an average stay at a hotel that claims to do better than average. Basically I felt like I was paying for the location, which was excellent.

A truly magical experience! We stayed in the elegantly appointed rooms with a live Xmas tree, and a view of the canal! The service was impeccable, the entire staff lovely and warm. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee superb! The hotel is gorgeous and we cannot wait to return.

The room was spacious and clean, housekeeping did a great job, and all staff we talked with were spectacular - knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The pool and saunas were wonderful. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn’t working, but that was only a minor disappointment. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal, and allows for easy navigation through the city.
