Beautiful historic hotel. The location is perfect. Very walkable.

An amazing old châteaux which is grand but a little tired in places. Room was quite small but had great view over the Ottawa river. We had a fabulous stay and would recommend it.

Overall, our stay was okay, and there were definitely some positives. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always courteous, and we also enjoyed the bar. However, the biggest disappointment was the swimming pool. The Expedia listing clearly gives the impression that the hotel has a pool, and it even includes photos of it. We specifically chose this hotel because our daughter was excited to swim. When we arrived, the staff informed us that the hotel does not actually have an indoor pool, and that the outdoor pool shown in the listing belongs to the spa, which is a separate business. That was very disappointing and felt largely misleading. We also had an issue with the shower drain being clogged. Maintenance came quickly and improved it, but it was still draining very slowly afterward. In addition, the complimentary bottled water was not replenished every day during our stay. The staff did their best and were pleasant throughout our visit, so this is not a criticism of them. My main concern is that the property listing should accurately reflect what amenities are actually available to hotel guests. The first photo in the listing is the pool and that is not available to guests! Had we known there was no accessible pool, we would likely have booked a different hotel.
