Sydney Waterfront Ski Vacations

Breakfast was good, staff very friendly and rooms were very clean.

This was a perfect stay for our time in Sydney. Prior to our cruise, it is very essentially located. Everything is very walkable. If you do need to go outside of the central Sydney area, then there are trains and buses and ubers. But honestly, we'd walked most of the area. You could walk to circular quay into the rocks and other areas from the hotel. Everything is so very close and we did use a ferry and an uber to get to and from the torongo zoo. Go by Uber in comeback by ferry. It will drop you off in circular q u a y. The room was very comfortable with a mini kitchenette and a great balcony to look over the city. Check out was a little early at 10 AM. But it was fine. We ended up leaving and going to the cruise terminal in was able to get on board even an hour early! Look forward to coming back and staying on our return trip!

Well located and great stsy

The staff at the retreat were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The room itself could have been cleaner, and it felt a bit run‑down with marks, scratches, stains, and general wear and tear that hadn’t been fixed. We had dinner at the Me‑Gal Restaurant and everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitress, Iman, was lovely, and the view from the restaurant was beautiful. The buffet breakfast, however, wasn’t as good and the staff there weren’t as friendly, though it was still fine overall. We had a good time, and we would stay here again.

Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked.

Very Calm environment, simple and elegant interior, nothing flashy or shiny. At the time of Checkout, we met "Moss The Boss", oh, he was such an amazing person and the best asset of any Organization.

Everything from the moment we arrived was top notch. Staff opened the doors anytime you came/went, porters were great with luggage handling, and rooms were well serviced. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfy bed and lots of plugs around the room as well lighting controls makes for a very usable space for longer stays. Having the pool/spa area downstairs is another great plus as it afforded us a way to shower after long flights as we arrived in the early morning prior to a room being available. We also used the pool during our stay and found it very clean and comfortable to enjoy. Would absolutely stay here again next time we are in Sydney!

The rooms were very clean, and the cleaners were absolutely helpful. Even the concierge boys and staff were very efficient in helping us. The bar man was nice as well. Thank u team.

It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. It was a lovely touch to see my name displayed on the TV when we entered the room, and a bottle of wine and a hand-written card. It's the little things that made the stay enjoyable. The check-in staff were also very lovely and helpful. I really appreciated them. Rooms: Spacious enough for 2 people. The bed was huge. I love the design and curation behind the decor of the room. The iPad controls were nice, such as automatic curtain openers and light controls. It would have been nice to have extra hooks in the room. I found it hard to find places to hang my towel, robe and bags. Coffee machine was a convenient addition to the room. Cleanliness: Given that I had paid almost $400 per night, I think there should have been extra attention to detail in the cleaning. There were a few crumbs in between the armchairs. It would have been nice for house keeping to vacuum the room more thoroughly as some times, there would be hair left behind. Would also be good to clean the shower grouts every once in a while. Other: One thing that was a bit annoying was the signal. My mum wasn't able to get signal while inside the room, and the TV kept freezing. There were also a lot of older shows on so the options on TV seemed a bit limited.
