Location, staff and cleanliness

If you are lucky enough to have a river view room in the silo then this is a great choice. Good food, great staff and the black Labrador sleeping quietly on his bed sends the right message.

Clean, responsive and friendly host.

The welcome from the receptionist was so friendly and kind. We had room 11 on the ground floor, it was very clean with a comfortable king size bed. There were spare pillows and blanket if needed. Loved the modern bathroom and shower. Refreshments were provided including milk and water in the fridge which was much appreciated. This Hotel has great views across the City and is only a short walk to the bars and restaurants (although the steep hill back is a challenge!) it’s only about ten mins drive to the Cataract Gorge, well worth a visit. The only negative is our room was right by the night door entrance and it’s quite loud, I think a top floor room would be better if you can carry your luggage up as there is no lift. Nevertheless it’s a beautiful Hotel and I would definitely recommend

I really liked the room and the location. What I didn’t like was the constant noise of kids running around, yelling and thumping around in the halls and rooms. The first night was really quiet, the second was bad. Maybe we were just unlucky.
