Sensui Island Luxury Vacations

Had a great stay in Mitsui. The staff were professional and the room was clean and comfortable bed. Location is great too as it’s close to many shops and restaurants. The top floor had the most beautiful view especially in the evening.

Stunning lobby, clean rooms. View of the bay was perfect. I would stay for longer next time. Can see why G7 leaders stayed here.

Great location, everything as described and such a relaxing atmosphere. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

Did not access bas or breakfast

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!

Staff were very kind. The Kaiseki dinner was superb. Although we did not use the public bath, the private bath reserved was great and our bodies felt less sore after a long dip.
