The room was spacious and lived up to the western room standards. I had a harbor facing room, so it was a great view of the harbor and the boats.

The hotel is nice and the breakfast is particularly good in variety and tasty. Ity located near the water, but no much pathway to walk around to enjoy the ocean and view. E We basically had to take taxi in and out for several times a day to go out for food and activities.

The room and especially the comforter were amazing, the staff was great for the most part, but the slightest bit judgey at reception.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tocen Goshoboh yesterday and would highly recommend it! We arrived around 2:20 PM, which was over 30 minutes before the official check-in time, but the hotel kindly let us check in early. We booked the Japanese-Style Standard Room with No Shower Room, including breakfast for two, at a very reasonable price of AUD 500. This traditional ryokan has an incredible 800-year history, and you can truly feel the depth of culture in every detail of its design and atmosphere. The Kinsen (golden hot spring) was especially memorable – perhaps because we visited during the off-season, I was lucky enough to enjoy the communal bath all to myself three times during our stay. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated in a classic Japanese style. We also appreciated the traditional yukata robes provided – a lovely touch that added to the experience. Service was excellent. At check-in, the staff took the time to explain the facilities and house rules thoroughly and with great care. As for breakfast – while not overly abundant, it was thoughtfully prepared and reflected the elegance of traditional Japanese cuisine: simple, healthy, and refined. All in all, we had an exceptional stay. We’d love to return in the future and highly recommend this unique and historic ryokan to anyone visiting Arima Onsen.

Room with open air Onsen we stayed was very spacious, clean, comfortable. Open air Onsen was beautiful and quiet. Enjoyed very much. Dinner was phenomenal, and the breakfast was delicious as well. Hospitality was just beyond my expectations. We highly recommend this place.

Great place between the ocean and the mountains, walkable from the JR line and the Shinkansen. The only small negative is that the bathtub is very slippery and a bit scary for older people. Some anti skids would be welcome in the tub.

We did a quick one night in Kobe and stayed at the Centurion hotel. This was a very nice and clean hotel with great amenities and close to train station. Our family room was large with many beds and super clean and comfy. The breakfast buffet was okay not the best. Would definitely stay here again if we are in town.
