East Neuk Kid friendly Vacations

Friendly staff but not that well maintained, could do with a bit of a revamp if it’s to deserve its 4 star rating. Perfectly fine for our stay, just needs refreshing.

Breakfast was great.

Room had a great view and had everything you needed for a short stay. Staff were helpful and greta to deal with. Cupboards needed some tightening, oven was noisy and pillows were very flat. Couch more for sitting in, not lounging.

The bathroom floor was bubbling from liquid trapped underneath and the shower handles easily fell off. There isn't staff available in person between 6 PM and 8AM which made it difficult to request cleaning and towel services when the day itinerary was packed. When we checked in they couldn't get us a room until 6PM because of a maintenance issue. When we returned to check in, there was no staff to retrieve our luggage from the store room.

Nice lodge and fantastic staff. I must have booked us into the house across the street which was a slightly different experience and our particular room was very lacking in terms of amenities, size, and washroom standards.

Having stayed at the Hotel over the years we were aware,this time that the dining arrangements are now so expensive as to make one of the restaurants not somewhere we would wish to eat . Other than that the hotel is still somewhere we would happily recommend for position, comfort and the amazing staff
