Hotel manager and concierge were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us. Had a little trouble with the air conditioning, but dealt with quickly and efficiently. Complex and the units are ideal, although in the process of being modernised as some areas looking a little tired in places. Nice and each to get cabs to anywhere on the island.

Staff were very nice and helpful, area, scenery and beaches were excellent. Food and drink weren’t very good. The older part of the resort (just the rooms and their pools) is in desperate need of an upgrade. Before my stay I read more than a few reviews regarding the resorts age and thought how bad could it be? It’s bad. At some point everything needs an upgrade. Panviman is well overdue for one. I’m sure the rooms in the newer section are great, I suggest booking one of them.

The location is great to walk to massage places, restaurants and right on the beach. The pool area/beachfront was nice and seemed to have enough chairs for all. The staff are excellent! Very accommodating and friendly! The bed was comfortable, but linens and towels are worn. Outside the bathroom (which is only screens and wood slats) the staff congregate and talk at all hours of the night. Maybe it’s the next door resort? They are very close with only a wall separating. There are many floodlights along the path outside the door to the room and they shine right into the room. Someone kept turning it to shine into the window and we’d turn it back down to the ground so we could sleep and along would come someone else to turn it back to shine into the window. Very annoying! They need lower wattage or different angles for them. The breakfast was a good- eggs, meats, salad, Thai dishes, yogurt and breads. We liked the location a lot and rented scooters to visit farther away places.

If you are aftering for a quiet and relaxing resort, this may be just for you. We decided not to pick resorts in Chaweng Central and so Glad we made the wise choice and we absolutely enjoyed our 6 nights in one of the Superior Seaview unit on the 3rd level. IMO, Pool Access unit is not usable as outside your balcony is like a drain ( 2 arms length in width ). Round trip shuttle to Central which make it very convenient though slow walk will take you less than 30mins. Breakfast items were more than adequate. Khun Nan the front desk staff service is simply impeccable.

Massages both at the Outrigger and nearby were fabulous. It was easy to get a taxi right at the entrance to the hotel.

Excellent service from the staff

We stayed here in April with our two teenage daughters. Our accommodation was one of the Two Bedroom Pool Villas which was lovely and very spacious and had its own pool. The only thing that let this style of villa down was that they are located next to a busy road with traffic going all night. We are not used to this noise and so found it difficult to sleep. We did let the reception know this and they offered to move us to a different style of accommodation away from the road for a couple of nights but then we would have had to move back for our last night. The staff here were all very friendly, especially the restaurant staff and the buffet breakfast was great. The hotel offers free shuttles to Lamai twice a day and also a shuttle to Chaweng once a day which was great to be able to use. There is also a small supermarket located an easy walk away. Apart from the road noise we enjoyed our stay here.
