Love The George…beautiful stylish hotel from the lobby, rooms and library. The staff are kind and accommodating and the breakfast is excellent. We always enjoy the candy closet and library. Our son lives in Montclair and we will return again!

We had an incredible stay.. special shout out to Chris, who met us when we arrived, help us unload our luggage…showed us to our room and gave us plenty of great recommendations in the area….was warm friendly and such a pleasure to be around….he made sure we had whatever we needed. Kyle behind the front desk was warm and friendly and always helpful.. breakfast was delicious and our waiter.. ( who was born and raised in the Bronx) was attentive and friendly… we will definitely be returning!!!

Honestly this hotel feels like ur in a train station .. no one recognises u .. or they know ur staying at the hotel .

The location was unbelievable. The staff was great and they offered free bottled water and gave us an upgrade to a huge room not just buy New York standards, any standards. We loved retro feel of our room end of the lobby. It was like stepping back in time in a very cool way. It was too bad. They didn’t have the bar and restaurant operating, but I could see it being a great place once they do get to that point. We will be back.

I stay the Sonesta each year when I'm in town for a conference. I love the location because it's within walking distance of Grand Central Station. From there, I can hop on the train and go anywhere I want in New York. I also love that the rooms at the Sonesta are spacious and clean. I've stayed at other hotels with much smaller rooms, which quickly become cramped if you stay for several days. The staff at the Sonesta are also incredibly helpful. The Assistant Manager, Justin, helped me resolve an issue I didn't even know I had. The only thing from this recent trip that was a concern is that the elevators were not fully working. Otherwise, I look forward to my stay at the Sonesta again the next time I'm in New York.

Super convenient location and clean hotel. The layout was good so the room didn't feel as small as most nyc rooms feel. They did not have makeup wipes and shower caps like most other hotels I have stayed have in big cities-but the other toiletries there were great.
