i had to stay here when my flight got cancelled. this place has a cottage type charm. my room was beyond clean and cool looking with the wood cabinets and all. it was very quite. the bartender is otherworld cool. the staff really want to make sure you are comfortable. i would without a doubt stay here again.

This was my second stay at the IBIS on the Arnulfstraße, and I was disappointed. Due to surgery, I was in a room for the handicapped, which was large, quiet, and comfortable UNTIL the fire alarm started beeping.
Of course, it was night, and it awoke me. I tried to call the front desk to see if I should evacuate. Their number was NOT displayed, and I had to hunt for it. It was in a pamphlet. Imagine being awakened by the alarm and having to search for the number. Dialing Zero did not work!
I finally got someone on the line, who instructed me to push the red and green buttons on the main light switch at the same time. That stopped the beeping. Now I had two red strobe lights flashing, one next to my head above the bed and the other on the wall next to the door. This went on for three nights, although I reported the issue each night and each morning.
Come on, folks! This is absolutely unacceptable.
They did comp breakfast the day I left.
Next stay will be at the neighboring Nova Hotel.
