Asia Gay friendly Vacations

Very spacious room, helpful staff (we met Michael and the French chef at the breakfast restaurant, they are really helpful and cheerful), wonderful view Except one of the staff at the reception assumed asian (myself) should speak Mandarin, cos he only knows Japanese and Mandarin, but very little English. My husband is from England and the staff insisted to speak to me in Mandarin. I guess as a paid customer we will have to do what's convenient for the staff not the other way round right? I hold a hk passport doesn't mean I HAVE to speak Mandarin or know this language. Never Assume, we speak Cantonese in HK.

Breakfast is excellent. DQ across the street. Close to canal right in the middle of Dotombori. Many places to eat. The rooms are dated. Carpet flooring.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. We usually stay at the club level and the staff at the lounge are extremely helpful. The concierge service are wonderful. They food at the lounge is delicious and nicely presented. We definitely will be back to this hotel.

Helpful and friendly staff. Nice hotel, great location. Unfortunately had to cut out visit short but hotel was very accommodating

I had to iron my clothes while I was there. I discovered that the rooms didn’t have individual irons and you had to borrow an iron and board from the front desk. Other than that, stay was great.

Clean - very compact, maybe this is the norm for the location.
