Island Colony was a great place to stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with cookware, toiletries, towels, and even beach chairs and a backpack cooler. I loved the patio view and enjoyed relaxing out there. The pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and relaxing, and security felt solid.
The only downside was parking -- the kiosk instructions are confusing, and you have to use separate elevators for the garage and rooms. Definitely ask staff for help the first time.
I'd stay again, I truly enjoyed the room and its amenities. Very convenient location. Parking isn't the owners fault -- just something to be aware of. Parking is definitely cheaper if you go for the 5 days. $235/5 days vs $47/nightly.

It is a beautiful hotel and the location and access is amazing. The hotel and grounds are kept very nice and clean. Your room is done every day by the staff. The coffee shop inside the Hotel had the best tasting coffee in Hawaii.

We did not receive an email 24 hours prior to our arrival detailing the check-in procedures.
The check-in process appears to be unclear.
Our room offered a beautiful view, and the accommodations were clean and pleasant. The view. particularly of the mountains, was truly remarkable. This location would be ideal for those seeking to experience this specific side of the island.
However, I do not anticipate a return visit.
The property's remote location and limited dining options are significant drawbacks.
