Breakfast is not included in the base rate any longer. If you want to add it, it is about 26 USD per person. Crazy. There is no free coffee in the hotel any longer. The Internet provided is open and unsecured, meaning that the connection between your PC and the hotel internet is unencrypted. So not great for doing business while at the hotel. If you leave your electronics plugged in within your room, the cleaning staff will unplug them for environmental reasons. I asked the manager why, and he was completely unaware that the cleaning staff unplugged the electronics. He promised to investigate, but he did not even do that. If the hotel has a policy about leaving electronic plugged in, they should inform their guests at check-in. These days, there are better choices in Alvik.

Amazing breakfast, facilities, welcome, wifi and location in easy reach of the Central Station - stayed for leisure with friends. Every bit as good as I remember it as a business customer 15 years back.
Only downside - lifts really struggled, showing a bit of age!

Lovely property in a great location. It was a very busy weekend and I had a single room at a very high price. The bathroom was just redone and spacious. The room itself was so tiny - not great value for money but I suspect at normal prices it’s better. You really have to be in bed if you’re in the room. Helpful friendly staff and good amenities (very nice towels and linens.
