The room was booked via Expedia and I have noticed a pattern that when a hotel room is booked via any 3rd party that the rooms are sub standard. My room in the Sofitel had curtains hanging off the hooks, the wall to the left hand side behind the curtain had paint peeling off. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. Hotels should not give discounted rooms to 3rd parties and when guests check in give them substandard rooms.

The hotel’s unique decor and how it’s built was beyond beautiful! They had cold water waiting for us in the room and we were also able to refill as needed. Everyone in my family absolutely loved their stay. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Most beautiful hotel. Everyone was super accommodating and lovely. The rooms were big and absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect and in the middle of everything. It was a top pick for Lyon!
