Property location was excellent. Breakfast was less than ok

We did a trip to Zurich during August and chose the hotel due to it being right next to the airport. However, the place is not a hotel, it is a residential building with no front desk but self service. There is NO air conditioner and the rooms are extremely hot! I called expedia to get the problem resolved but the hotel staff refused to cancel the reservation and claimed that since the hotel description did not state it had an AC then they are not at fault. I told them the AC is not a comodity and it is a basic need all hotels need ,especially in Europe during summer time. The listing did not state if the room had a bathroom, a bed, a chair, lighting, pillows and bedsheets, but you expect them to have them. However, they refused to refund the money and I had to escalate the issue and is still being worked on. Expedia should better filter places such as this that do not offer the minimum requirements or should FORCE the listings to clearly show they have NO Air Conditioner.

The elevator was not working and my room was at 12th floor, the bathroom door was hard to close, the fridge was not working properly, no air conditioning, one day the hot water was not running, also very noisy due to the train station being beside the hotel. Small price for small quantity.
