Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam, as it is very close to Amstel Station which connects you to the whole city and the intercity train network. The rooms are small but well maintained, and the bathroom/shower facilities were in great condition. While perhaps obvious, it should be noted that the hotel rooms do NOT have air conditioning. This is not particularly clear from the Expedia listing. Given that it was quite warm, and we were on the 9th floor, we did find it a little hot and humid. The supplied fan was helpful, but it was a bit of an unfortunate surprise when we realized upon check-in that there was no A/C. All in all, I would stay there again and recommend the location in Amsterdam Oost.

Very easy check in. Friendly staff. Clean and welcoming. One of the best hotel experiences in Amsterdam. All receptionists were super helpful. A pleasant surprise, I will be back!

Location was good but room with balcony was nothing like the Expedia image. We got a wall we had to drag an ottoman out to see over when they had several rooms with a balcony you could see from. We were the one they gave the lousy balcony to and had to complain. We then got a balcony looking at the inside rooms of the hotel and had to say no to until they upgraded us to a jr suite with limited view. We made the reservation months ago. We should’ve got a balcony with a view and not been treated through this dance to get a reasonable room. They should’ve said something that your room has a balcony that you’re not gonna be able to see through it because it’s all plaster wall or told us there is none available but to give us what they gave us and then move us around to unacceptable room and then move us around our room with a limited view was just a dance and it was ridiculous. We had to go through that but appreciate that they didn’t make an effort to upgrade our room. But that’s not good enough we should’ve got Respected enough to give us the room that was advertised on Expedia. Or told us it was gonna be otherwise.
