A stunning property and downstairs in the bar and restaurant area it was really lovely. Sadly other areas looked like they needed updating. Our bedroom was clean but dated. The bathroom needed an upgrade and the extractor fan did not remove any steam. So after one shower the mirror was steamed up and dripping so we couldn’t see in it to get ready. Apparently it’s on a timer and only works certain times of the day! The mattress was quite hard and thin so we woke up a few times in the night. Our TV ariel was broken so we couldn’t watch TV after being up since 4am for our flight. We wanted to lay in bed and watch a film but couldn’t as a member of staff was in and out trying to fix it. She was very lovely but our evening was ruined and it should have been checked before our arrival. Staff were very helpful which was nice but we paid a fortune for a bedroom which was no more than a three star so feel a bit ripped off.

We had a wonderful, large room looking over Princes Street. We stayed in February which meant that the rate was very reasonable. We visited the in-house cinema one night - this makes this hotel pretty unique. We would definitely stay here again if coming to Edinburgh.

Such a fun experience for a little something different. The room was spacious, the bathroom beautiful and both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were outstanding. Highly recommend.

Cheery staff - mostly locals which is nice to see. Beautifully decorated with comfortable surroundings. Our room was spacious with everything we needed. Had a treatment in the Spa which was very relaxing. Good choice at breakfast. Convenient location. Definitely recommend a stay here and would come back again.
