We understood the hotel has no one onsite for check-in. We followed the online instructions for checking in, and at 3:00 pm we were able to enter the lobby and use the elevator with the 6-digit code they provided. But we could not access our room. So now we have to pull up an online chat and find someone to help us. It was another 10 minutes before the 6-digit code worked for our room. The next problem was the room temperature. It was a hot, humid day in Zurich and we were tired and sweaty. But after several hours the room temperature hadn't changed at all. Once again we started an online chat, and it was clear the person "helping" us didn't not understand our situation at all. An hour later, we were finally told that the hotel had "air cooling" not "air conditioning" and that we could try opening a window. Running the fan at high speed with the windows open provided minimal relief. I was ready to check out and find another hotel. We got very little sleep. While the hotel is modern, the lack of air conditioning is inexcusable. The shower curtain was also very dirty and the mini-frig needed to be de-frosted. But the min-frig was slightly cooler than the room. Also, not a nice neighborhood. I would never stay here again. And I have rarely felt that about any hotel.
