Hoch-Ybrig Cheap Vacations

The owner was not responsive to multiple messages or phone calls for several hours the day of our arrival, which was very stressful not knowing if we would even be able to access the rental when arriving late in the evening with children. I made the reservation several weeks ago. It would have been very easy to simply give me a different number to contact on the day of our arrival, or provide the access code in advance. The pictures on the listing did not match the property. I chose this rental specifically for the view that was displayed, but that view is only available from a different rental. There is a large bell tower less than one hundred meters from the rental. The bell chimes every quarter hour, even at night. The door to the bathroom is very difficult to open. Our youngest child almost got stuck inside. There is almost no information presented about the property. I had to text the assistant to find out where the laundry is (outside, down an alley), where to park (which is paid), where the sauna is (which is in a different rental down the alley). A simple info sheet would easily solve this. This is a cool house and very well renovated, but we will not be returning.

Lovely hotel with great view

We had the best room ever! Very spacious and the location is amazing, right on the ski hill. The spa is great and don't miss the very cozy bar with fireplace. The staff were excellent, very helpful getting us ski rentals and information. Loved this hotel, truly a wonderful place to stay!

Staff was nice and upgraded me into a suite. Property felt a bit older overall but very well located.

Check-in was very confusing. Other than that, the property was great, clean, and new.

The only reason I gave this property 4 stars is because the AC was a little lacking. I know that's the norm in Europe and it's hotter than usual. I would stay at this property again so would probably rate 4.5. I had issues with shower water temperature but my friend was able to help me. Also, would prefer wash cloths in the bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good for 15 CHF. Another small amenity that was really nice is on each side of the bed are plugs for your phone cables - USB or USB-C so no worries regarding converters. Definitely walkable from the HB station. A nice Greek restaurant was behind the hotel. Room and bathroom were very clean.
