The receptionist was helpful and professional, which unfortunately was not reflected in the service provided by the bar staff. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Based on my experience, it does not deserve a four-star rating. The overall condition and standard fell well below what I would expect from a hotel in this category. There was an unpleasant drain smell in the bathroom, which significantly affected the comfort of the room. On departure, the reception staff told us that they were already aware of the issue, making it even more disappointing that it had not been resolved and that we were allocated a room already known with this smell. The window was extremely stiff when we tried to open it to get fresher air into the room. The use of paper cups for making tea was also unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be four-star and gave the impression that corners were being cut. The hotel appears poorly maintained, with doors marked and damaged through wear and tear, and is in need of a thorough refurbishment. Overall, it falls well short of the expected standard and was a deeply disappointing experience. Unless the hotel is comprehensively updated, I would not recommend staying there. I have stayed in lower-star hotels with better facilities and staff who genuinely cared about the guest experience. I do not understand how this hotel achieved its current rating.
