Scallywags was such an amazing place to stay! There were times where after some food on the beach I wanted to escape the heat and my private pool with some Bintangs from the mini bar were just what I needed! All the staff were very kind and helpful! I can’t recommend this place enough! If you stay at scallywags you are going to love it!

Our pool villa was beautiful, always kept clean and well maintained. The bathroom is a little smelly but kept fan on. Breakfast was average

I had a private villa with pool. I think it was located next door to family villas. Therefore it was loud in my opinion for most of my stay. I wouldn't stay here again, but it's preferable for those from India.The location is good on this side of the island.

Friendly staff, great food, best sunset view, away from crowds. The mattress needs improvement - there's dent in the mattresses. Ceiling fan needs some effort to clean it properly. Free bicycles but may not be in working condition, the staff offered his own bicycles for us. I'll definitely come back again.

If you’re looking for a self contained retreat experience, this property is awesome. Having its own private beach is a plus for that. It’s an older property but beautifully maintained. If you want to venture off the property, though, that’s a different story. It’s isolated, miles removed from the Kuta Beach scene. In my eye, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, mind you. I found Kuta Beach to be overrun with locals on the weekend and largely deserted during the week. Didn’t like the aggressiveness of the hawkers either. So I was content to stay at the Novotel and relax most of the time.
