excellent location, quiet rooms and great breakfast

We have used this hotel before to visit family. Its a lovely hotel and so comfortable with amenities just outside. You can easily walk down to the beach. The rooms are very clean with a lovely big comfortable bed. We had a coffee machine and a mini bar with complimentary soft drinks and water.

Could have more wardrobe space, but ok for a few days

Slightly underwhelmed with the hotel. Would advise sing more on par with a low 3 star hotel not the 4 advertised. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleaning was sufficient and frequent. Biggest disappointment was the standard of room. Very small narrow room, small tv with only one English Channel (Sky News). Bathroom not the greatest and low pressure hot water. Air con worked but often blew in cigarette smoke so had to keep turned off. Very noisy rooms with paper thin walls. Regularly woken up in the early hours to roudy drunken guests. On the whole adequate if visiting the city and not planning on spending any time in the hotel other than sleeping. Great location wise but if like us you want a siesta or some down time in the room, this hotel is not really for you. To reiterate, staff really friendly and the highlight of the stay.

Extremely convenient location. Not noisy despite being atop the train station. Helpful staff, even in their non native language. Very good value.

Excellent in all areas

Wonderful hotel. Great staff. All the people there were amazing. But get used to a subway running underneath the hotel daily until midnight. You will hear it and feel the vibrations. You get sort of used to it after a few days, but it definitely impacted my sleep. Breakfast each day was fantastic. The old wood work and the hotel itself is worth the stay. Even with the subway issue, we would probably stay there again. If for nothing else the wonderful staff.
