The Grand Prince in Hiroshima is very impressive at first, the staff is above and beyond friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and fast. We had a room on the 17th floor, one or two doors away from a G7 Summit suite. The rooms are pretty large by Japanese standards. Big windows to enjoy the one of a kind view. That's about where the good ends, the carpets are pretty stained and old looking. The chairs are uncomfortable, it's like they don't want you lounging in your room. The bed was nice and we slept okay. The bathroom has a step up which is easy to forget about so my big toes are now bloody. The bathtub drained kinda slow so you end up getting a footbath with your shower. All in all, they have the ability to be a great outstanding hotel but fall short somewhat on the simple stuff.

It was the best part of my stay. The pictures do not really di it justice. The area is peaceful and serene. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.
