"It was raining at the time we entered the Rio Othon and were introduced to Adauto our concierge and everything seemed brighter. My wife and I were very impressed with his professionalism and natural courtesy. Our ocean front room was on the 26th floor and the view spectacular. The staff in the Skylab were exceptional for both breakfast and evening meals. Kim wanted to say thank you to the ladies there who filled her travel bottle each day with water. I’ve already recommended this hotel to friends who are planning a visit. Adauto my friend if you’re ever in Calgary, please do not hesitate to visit us. Thank you again."

"This is a top hotel! I don't quite understand the negative reviews left. It's at least a four-star hotel and is excellent with staff, reception, and restaurant services. There are always several receptionists on duty, along with several porters. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and serves many local dishes, along with the more traditional. The hotel has granite floors throughout and a wonderful panoramic view of Copacabana. I did upgrade my room once I got there and was so glad I did. Also appreciated the fact that I could take the stairs to my room which were impeccably kept. Everything was clean and high-end. I would definitely stay here again and felt safe and well-served throughout the 8 days I stayed here."

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Cocacabana

"Love this hotel. In the heart of Cocacabana, directly across from the beach. We had a superb view. Room is modern and clean, staff firneldy and helpful. You also have access to a private area on the beach with security and food and drink service. I would defintely recommend this hotel."
