"★★★★★ Had another great stay at the Lamb & Flag Inn. It’s in a really convenient central location, making it easy to get around Rhayader and explore the surrounding area. The accommodation was clean and tidy, which made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It has a welcoming, atmosphere. It also offers excellent value for money, making it a great choice if you’re looking for somewhere affordable without compromising on comfort. Overall, a straightforward, comfortable place to stay in a great location. Will happily return and recommend to anyone visiting Rhayader."

"Secure parking at rear of property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. The extractor in the bathroom was either not working or not efficient enough to clear the steam from the room. Also if you want me to use the excellent towels for a second day, a heated towel rail needed , or any towel rail to hang the bath towel after first use. "

"Good welcome. Special request for room with a bath was met. Massive luxurious bedroom. Top end toiletries but dispensers could be lower down in bath area so they can be reached when bathing. Superb breakfast. Good to perfection. Excellent choice and served to you at your table. Delicious quality ground coffee. Always love our stay at the Cawdor. It never disappoints. "

"We had a good stay, wouldn't return. Weekend breakfast timing is 0800-1000 but we were offered 0700-0900 as the only people in the hotel and the owner had other plans. We asked for 0830 and he put 0800. Later we asked for closer to 0900 and we were told that not possible, we saw them drive off after serving breakfast. The room was good, loose floor tiles in bathroom and only one bath mat despite a shower and separate bath. No snacks and poor selection of hot drinks in the room. Hotel is clearly dated with thin walls and doors, we could hear music in the kitchen in the morning. Difficult to get to plug sockets. Lovely quiet location and Llandrindod is not far away. "
