Room#2: The shower was dirty and moldy. The water in the shower would not drain. There was hair in the sink drain. The toilet would not flush properly. One of the beds broke while my husband was putting my 3 year old to sleep. We told the staff on the first night and it didn’t get fixed on our stay. The staff was friendly and the Pub food was good. It is in walking distance of many attractions

A great place to stay!
I have stayed here a few times over the years and have always been happy with this hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the toilet and shower were clean, with plenty of hot water. The room I stayed in, (5), was above the main gate which meant it could be a bit noisy early in the morning, but not too serious. Staying above a bar, can be a bit noisy, but that is only to be expected. The room was very warm, I had to turn the radiator down, not a bad thing. The hotel is situated five minutes walk from the shambles with plenty of bars and traditional pubs. I recommend the Blue Bell, two minutes away, and The Golden Fleece for it's ghosts and entertainment. All in all a very pleasurable stay. I look forward to returning soon.

Check in was fine with friendly staff. Room was very small and basic. The bed was so uncomfortable and hard. We had an upstairs room which backed onto the shisha bar, it was noisy until about 1am but then it did go quiet. I wouldn’t return here even though the one thing it had going for it was the location, It was central to the town centre and within walking distance to everywhere.
