"If you visit the property's website aside from what Hotels.com offers for information, don't be like me and misunderstand the bit about the Waterpark (specifically the tower slide hours of operation). I misunderstood when the slides are actually turned on but the staff was AMAZING about turning them on so our family could enjoy them, and we did! The room was clean, perhaps a bit dated? A place to lay our heads at the end of our adventures non the less. The breakfast was minimal offering, but honestly, in this case less was more. The food tasted REALLY good. The staff was great when I requested ketchup for my scrambled eggs and sausage she promptly got me some and assured me the request wasn't as silly as I felt it was. I can't necessarily fault the property on these next few things but feel the need to pass them along; the mattresses (in the double queen rooms) are horrendously uncomfortable, back and hips hurt, spent the night turning like a hotdog on a gas station roller, and the televisions were tiny (like my sisters thought it was a computer monitor when I sent them a picture.) Again, we were there for somewhere to rest between adventures and it did the job."
Nature Lover's Paradise In The Driftless Area Of Southern Wisconsin, USA.
10/10 Excellent
"Property was great. House had everything you would need. If your looking to relax this would be the ticket. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to really take advantage of the house, fire pit, grill, walking trails, fireplace, etc. Only stayed two days and ran around those two days in local towns."
"The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was continental and not much there but there was a waffle maker which was great. I slept well. The two things I would change would be to use a different scent for the air freshener, which had a weird and unpleasant scent, and to clean the entrance glass door, which was very smudged and dirty and made a negative first impression. Those are small changes which would not cost much."
"A low key, simple, straw house cottage with the necessary basic amenities for a quite meditative stay. The standout is the wood stove-heated sauna & European-style cold plunge pool, both inside the cottage. If you love to sauna & cold-water plunge this is the place."
