「I was a bit wary staying at a pub chain but any reservations (except that for my room) were quickly rendered moot when I entered the grounds. The property is set back from the main road with a good drive leading to several parking areas. After checking in I moved my car to the parking near the accommodation which was several buildings surrounding a courtyard area. 「All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is the third time we have stayed at the , " Duke of York". The rooms are always clean and well supplied and wonderfully quirky. The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. We will, without question, be looking to return for more stays regardless of the season because any time of year is great here.」

「A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. 」

「Cleanliness of cottage was great! Breakfast menu was fresh and good selection of breakfast, on dinner was lovely and tasty food, definatley recomend. Staff nice and helpfull.😊 Property Facilities would need improving, lovely grounds and views, but some places (including a few Lodges) are abandoned and would need some invesment to put back in service.」
