Very, very nice place. Had the right vibes. Good food. Nice tatami rooms. Goat at the entrance. Cute lady guests too. All you need in one place.
Awesome traditional Japanese dinner! Loved the natural hot spring onsen! Stuff were very friendly. We had a traditional Japanese room with 2 twin bed and 2 sets of futon ( which we didn’t use . ) We enjoyed our stay very very much!
stunning location with terrific views. staff are brilliant. both breakfast and dinner were excellent
Sankara is a great choice for yakushima, and my recommendation for anyone traveling there. The service is top flight. Our butler/concierge Sam was helpful, joyful, and outright hospitable with just the rain got amount of fussing-he intuited our needs perfectly. Food is fantastic-seafood fresh and ...
The staff were very helpful though they don’t speak English. I suggest you have your google translate apps handy. If possible install a Japanese keyboard so that they can give you the answer on your phone. The ocean view in the room is most pleasing. Location of the hotel is about 30 min from the ...
The place was very nice, quiet, conveniently located. Owner was very friendly, washer and dryer were very useful. There is a set of vending machines that are available on-site with food, drinks, etc. if you need anything. They provide other services if you request it (bento lunches, etc.).
The place is perfect if you're new to Yakushima or a recurrent visitor. It is close to all of the things a traveler would hope for to make for a pleasant trip, i.e. across the street from a grocery store, a few blocks from some excellent restaurants, a half a block away from the boat landing, on ...
A typical Minshuku: sleeping on futon on a tatami floor, and using shared toilets and bathroom. But the difference is that they have gone to a lot of effort to make it easy for English speakers to understand how everything works, and there is a basic kitchen in the room, which is unusual and welcome. ...
