Broadway musicals, interpretations of iconic operas and tributes to world-famous musicians are some of the highlights of this theater’s schedule.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is the city’s principal venue for the performing arts. Enjoy an evening of entertainment at concerts, musicals, operas, pantomimes and stand-up comedy shows. Take your seat in the auditorium and be astounded by the magnificent stage props and the all-singing, all-dancing artists. Mingle with theatergoers while having pre-show drinks

Inaugurated in 1894, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is the longest-running theater in Wolverhampton. Its opulent auditorium has a capacity for 1,200 spectators. The theater’s debut performer was the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, which also performed on the night of the centennial birthday. Charlie Chaplin, Leonard Rossiter, Marlene Dietrich and Winston Churchill have all graced the stage.

Both in-house productions and touring companies perform throughout the year. Attend award-winning musicals such as Hairspray, Jersey Boys and Mamma Mia!

Sing along at concerts that pay homage to the music of Buddy Holly, David Bowie and Queen, among others.

Children will have fun at Christmas pantomimes, which are comedic stage shows that invite audience participation and are often based on popular fairytales.

Visit the Encore Lounge prior to a show and during intervals to take advantage of an extensive menu of beers, wines and soft drinks. Ticketed jazz concerts, stand-up comedy shows and quiz nights take place in the lounge. There’s also a luxury bar situated on the theater’s Dress Circle level.

The theater is conveniently located in Wolverhampton’s city center and is a short walk from the city’s bus and train terminals. A stop for the Midland Metro, a tram service that connects the city with Birmingham, is less than a 5-minute walk to the south. Parking is possible at metered car parks.
