「The lady manager greeted us on arrival, she was very friendly and helpful and bubbly which made a difference to our stay it mad us feel welcome, the only thing was there wasn't always someone on reception.
The restaurant was nice but wasn't keen on the very large thick cut chips which were under cooked. And I'm not sure if the person serving us was a man or a woman...he spoke and looked like a man but had a dress on!!!

Royal hotel bar/ restaurant quite busy so would recommend booking if you want to dine in. Food quality was excellent and a great service given.

「We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did.

「Really beautiful place both the hotel and the location. Staff were all very nice, polite snd helpful which made the stay even more pleasant. The only downside was breakfast, the qaulity of the produce was excellant as i'm guessing was the standard of the breakfast if you were there at the start. I guess part of the problem was our own doing because we decided on a late breakfast towards the end of service, so we found the hot food gad now gone cold. This shouldn't happen so maybe look into...

夏休みのピークシーズンでクリーニングサービスなどは臨時のスタッフが多かったのだろうが、訓練がよくい聞き届いていないように感じられた。レストランのスタッフも口の聞き方など横柄（ホスピタリティビジネスの意味を理解していない）。フロント以上のスタッフは問題なし。
朝食はまあまあ、夕食（３コースメニュー、コーヒー・紅茶つき）はお得感がある。メインは実物を見ながら選べるので安心 。町はリゾート地としてきれいにまとまっていて、干潟沿いの、Promenadeからの景色がよい。

「Lovely coaching inn in beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Welcome very friendly as was service throughout stay. Room not huge but adequate and very comfortable bed with good supply of linen. Whole hotel was kept well heated. Beautifully cooked dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay again though not sure if menu changed much.」
