4/5Very Good! (626 reviews)
Nice hotel very well situated for the castle
"Easy to check in and very safe what with COVID and easy to follow, room arrives was very good and its close to the castle and shops so all good. However breakfast was slow service and the food not so great which was a bit of a let down! Room was lovely and comfy so no complaints there."…""Easy to check in and very safe what with COVID and easy to follow, room arrives was very good and its close to the castle and shops so all good. We had a lovely stay in a lovely studio lodge. The kids loved it and collecting the fresh eggs in the morning was a highlight for the kids. Will definitely be booking again for the summer next year. Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay.

Had a fantastic weekend stay at this hotel with our 18 month old son.
The staff were wonderful and could not do more for us - they were always on hand to help even without us asking!
Lovely big family room. Perfect location, loved our stay!

The staff where very friendly and the service was great. Always asked how you where and the rooms very clean. Security was good was always some about even when looking for the smoking area at 2am in the morning. Had a great time here would recommend. Parking is a bit overpriced and can park a 10 min walk away for a fraction of the price

the staff was very friendly, showed me & my partner around the hotel before taking us up to our room. the room we stayed in was very nice, clean & cosy & we both really enjoyed our stay at Alma House & we will be coming back to stay again, soon
How can anybody give this b and b anything but a 10? Its bloody brilliant!! Situated just off thr main road so it is easy to find. The property is around 30 minutes walk to the castle. Large parking area at the front which accommodates all cars. The place is spotless. Our room was large and en suite. The bed was amazing and it was one of the best sleeps i have had for a long long time. Bathroom was big and had lots of complimentary shampoos/soaps. Shower was hot and easily controlled. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were very well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful with both a continental breakfast and a full English with choice of egg. Overall everything was superb from the minute we got there to the minute we left.
