「Nice country pub room was clean and comfortable with ensuite.
Staff are great and the pub has a nice relaxed feel with a bar area used by the locals (Friendly) with everything you want from a country pub.
Restaurant area separate from the pub with a good varied menu.the food I had was great and good value for money.
I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.」
「The Anchor Inn is an amazing place to stay right on the banks of the River Exe. The pub gardens are immacualte, large and the plants are amazing. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.」
「Bright friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. The gardens are extensive and lots to interest. The house feels like a medieval manor although is C19 Tudor revival. The bedroom had everything needed and mercifully no television, was clean and welcoming. Al in all a lovely stay with a lovely host.」

Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. You cloud hear the owl in the woods at night it was such a peaceful location.
We had a wonderful evening meal, a little more than we might pay at home but it was beautifully cooked and value for money.
Breakfast was equally delicious. I had the superfood breakfast. Sourdough toast....
「Lovely location, we were in room 6 with sea view, room was cosy tastefully decorated, clean and bed very comfortable, ideal fir our 1 night stay while hiking coastal path. Staff friendly and great quality tasty breakfast. Exceeded our expectations 」
「The spare room was a joke. The bed was completely broken and couldn’t safely hold an adult — totally unusable. The room was filthy, and to top it off, someone else’s dirty socks were still on the floor. I called the owner to try and sort it out, but they were incredibly rude and made no effort to help. Absolutely unacceptable. Would not recommend to anyone.」
