「The staff were amazing. They had so many details like bringing milk to the room every day. The food was awesome. They made a great breakfast including eggs Benedict and a wonderful supper that gave you 3 different options for meat. The decor is amazing in both the bedroom and the rest of the decor. We felt very cared for. We loved the hotel!!!!」

「An elegantly appointed fairly formal country house in a beautiful rural setting, not far from a tiny small village. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts provide a great breakfast. Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!」

「The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We had travelled over 200 miles to get there, having booked many weeks ago and paid for They left us standing there for over 40 minutes with no explanation as to why we were still waiting for the key to our room. 「Great spot to break up the journey when travelling through the countryside. Very friendly staff, good breakfast to start the day and our room was huge. We only stayed the night and it lived up to its name as we rested and were thankful!」
