"We wanted a quiet getaway and that’s exactly what we got. We like Hedgesville’s proximity to Berkeley Springs, Harpers Ferry and Winchester, VA. Hedgesville itself doesn’t have a lot going on - a few independent restaurants & shops, a Martin’s grocery store. If you’re looking for Walmart or chain restaurants, there are plenty in nearby Martinsburg. This visit for us, though, was all about staying in and enjoying the woods around us. "Overall enjoyed the stay. Would recommend a king size bed in the upstairs master bedroom, a new bed in the main level master, and a bed be put in the basement bedroom instead of a futon. The water pressure for flushing toilets was not good and there was a sewage smell coming out of the hot tub drain. Parking was a little precarious and dangerous backing up and turning around on a hillside, also getting into the driveway was difficult even will 4wD we were spinning tires."

"The main problem was with the rental company. They had the incorrect password listed in the notebook. When we called them, they kept saying it was correct and saying they’d get back with us. Over several hours they never re-contacted us. We’d have to constantly contact them. We were able to figure out the password which was different than the one they had listed."
