「A lovely place with a beautiful garden to the rear. Easy to find and very quaint. My colleague and i ate in the restaurant and the food was great.

「We had to walk up 42 steps to get to our room carrying our baggage. The place is adequate but dated and the hot water difficult to adjust safely. A window in our room was ajar and there was rot and mold around the frame which caused us to leave it that way. There is no one attending the front desk as the person who checked us in did double duty in the restaurant. The food was fine. 」
「Superb hospitality here and the staff were extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. For those travelling by train, it takes about 25-30mins to walk into the centre of Reading, but is only 10 mins by bus and these are frequent. I stayed here on a work trip. I would have liked a bath to relax into at the end of a long day, but I guess you can't have everything!」
「Great location for a course I was attending and close to shopping centre and restaurants. Room was clean, spacious, and beautiful! Only thing I would suggest is that it would be nice to have a fridge in the room… other than that can fault the Market House! 」
