This hotel is pretty good for the money. It was quiet and has a cute little kitchenette… I had read other reviews that said it kind of lacked dishes and silverware so I brought my own!! The little coffee pot was kind of broken, but I figured out how to use it The beds are so comfortable. We like that part that air conditioner works very well.

Excellent hotel. We loved it so much we are staying a 2nd night. A bonus was a small breakfast bar in the room. What a fabulous hotel for a GREAT price. The town of Watrous and surrounding area is a slice of Heaven!

Great, clean hotel rooms with full kitchens. My only complaint is the rooms are so tiny that you feel very cramped with 4 people. But everything was clean and in good condition.

The woman who cleans here was super sweet and has many responsibilities. Our room was spacious and had a very nice new shower. Sadly the walk ways were dirty and unkept. The breakfast room was a sad story. No pride of ownership shown there. No napkins or wipes. Pancake machine not working. Cereals not topped up. Milk past due date and spoiled. No tea. The floor under the coffee machine is rotting from water damage. Counters sticky and dirty. That part was very dissapointing. There are lots of trains that go by here, but only noticed the noise one one morning out of 3.

It was the only place left to stay close to manitou resort It isn’t bad just there’s no staff we had to call for them to drive from some random place and it says check in starts at 2 pm and this was after 3 it was pretty inconvenient

Nice location, good facilities, but quite dirty to be honest. The rooms itself were ok, nothing too dirty but rest of the hotel is. There was a cat family in one corner of the hotel. The breakfast was 2/5. Just the bare minimum pancake, which was actually good, cheap muffins, some fruits, cereals, breads, tea and coffee. The place is ok for a day or two. There's lots of room for improvement.

Room was not cleaned upon arrival. Bed had been slept in, not made and the last patrons head indent still in the pillow, towels were dirty, garbage wasn't emptied, old coffee in the pot and none left for me. Advertised as a kitchenette, it came with an oven but no oven safe cookwear, only had one fork, and no dishsoap to wash your dirty dishes so I'd assumed everything there had been "rinsed clean".

The room had an odor (stunk). A few crawling insects. Train tracks right across the road and cross country trains passing all night long. Over priced for the location. Uncomfortable bed. Very poor sleep. Breakfast really sucked. It might as well be a free breakfast because it wasn't worth anything, garbage. Cheapness and quality SO common with most motels in Canada now being owned by south Asians. I'm SO disgusted with the way things are I will definitely support privately owned Bed and Breakfast accommodations if at all possible from now on. Deserve gets what deserve gives.

Some guests don't seem to realize that others don't appreciate their loud conversations outside the front window early in the morning. American tourists, we suspect! We used to live at a CN rail divisional community, so the train wasn't as much of a disturbance in this case.

The rooms are well appointed (except for cutlery and dishes. However, the housekeeping is lacking. The common areas such as stairs are dusty and dark. The vending machines are a joke. Other than that, your average roadside hotel.

The property is easy to access and near where we want to go. The guy at the front desk was more than helpful. He really did a good job assisting us. On the other hand, it wasn't so clean, there was a smear of poop on the side of toilet seat when we arrived. The breakfast can be improved.

An average motel, but clean. Clean linens & room was clean. But water on the floor from defrosted mini-fridge. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. Pancake maker did not work. Toaster did not do a good job of toasting the bread. So no hot breakfast options.
