Very good breakfast menu - good variety, reasonably priced. Opaline restaurant food was excellent - octopus, Lasagna, pappardelle. So convenient to just eat in hotel after traveling all day. Patio dining was very relaxing. Perfect location. Taxis always available.

Second visit to DC, second visit to Sofitel Hotel. From start to finish the hotel does it right. The staff is courteous and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food from the Opaline restaurant is fantastic! Staying at the Sofitel made my trip to DC that more enjoyable. I highly recommend this property.

Hotel is beautifully decorated, staff was very friendly and helpful. My only concerns, the middle elevator was doing something very weird at one point and kept opening and closing the door, alarm blaring and no one came to check on us? Also the tv Google cast never would work properly. Restaurant hours were pretty limited but it wasn’t the worst. Just if you wanted a drink before 4p you would have to leave property or order room service and pay extra. Other than that. Room was very clean, and bed was comfy!

Well located for everything downtown. Watch the “Urban Experience “ resort fee surcharge. Not sure what that was for but amenities at the hotel are minimal (no pool). We had a complimentary bottle of wine with both our stays but only received one bottle at the end of the final stay after having to contact Expedia. Front reception staff did not seem to know about this perk. We had to fly out that day so gave it our daughter. We found the whole stay including a breakfast very expensive for what we got. Probably won’t stay there again for this reason.

The room was clean, well tidied everyday. All the employees were kind and helpful. The Opaline had really good steak, ceasar salad, and asparagus side dish which we ate for dinner and the breakfast was delicious as well. Continental breakfast and yogurt and fruits, oh and the pastries were really crisp, warm and delicious. The quality and service of this hotel was good. The proximity to Lincolm Memorial, Wash. monument, Macy's, restaurants, etc. were all good location wise. I'll revisit!

The hotel served us well. Beds were excellent. The rooms were spacious and plenty of storage. Seating good. Bathrooms with antimisting were good. I wasn't aware of the taxes that were charged at the end of the holiday. Approx Usd 500 for the two rooms, something for folks to be aware of.

Location is great, our corner room was great, spacious, large bathroom, dinner and breakfast was excellent, valet parking was also great, convenient, our vehicle was ready within minutes when needed. We enjoyed our 2 days there and will return often.
