A charming home in a quaint neighborhood. The home is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, and everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The location is close to several places to eat and the Metro. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved the large dining table where we could sit together with the whole family. The house had everything we needed. Beautiful clean rooms and very responsive host. Perfect location to visit the city.

The location is quaint and convenient. The home was very clean and had nice beds/linens. It is 3 stories but the layout is nice. We had 10 stay with us and found it to be the right amount of space. You’ll need to request a parking permit before your stay otherwise you’ll find it challenging to find somewhere to park, particularly overnight. We didn’t have a smooth check-in process and were delayed getting into the unit and getting parking permits, so we weren’t able to give 5/5 stars. The home itself was great!

DC Visit

Great location for DC visit, near the Capitol and Capitol South metro station. Three stories were rough for my aging body but the home accommodated our clan of 10 well.

Location Location Location!

This is a lovely and quiet home steps away from the US Capitol, museums, shops…and amazing restaurants. You can also Uber Eats easily to enjoy in the large dining room and outdoor space. Close proximity to Reagan National too. The best way to live like a Washingtonian…for a couple of days or a little longer! Design, comfort and proximity. Win, Win, Win!

Overall very positive for our purpose of visiting our nation’s capital, but a couple of negatives. One positive—location. Close to the national mall area, close to subway system, and close to restaurants and grocery stores. Another positive—space utilization. We comfortably slept 10 people and also ate many meals at the house and had enough dining room table space. Another positive—safety. We felt totally safe walking through the neighborhood to the national mall area and to local restaurants. Another positive—master bedroom suite had plenty of space, privacy, closet, drawer space, and bathroom counter space. One negative—the living room furniture. The furniture was very uncomfortable and not very well arranged. In addition, the bay window area of the living room was very impractical for seating. It looks good on the pictures, but not very practical for a large group. Another negative—overall upkeep of the grounds and sidewalk area. Too much vegetation growing over the front and back steps, cobwebs on the front railings and bay window area (inside), and sidewalks that had mulch bags, trash, and uneven bricks that were tripping hazards. We would definitely stay at this place again, hopefully with the negatives (mentioned above) corrected.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of D.C.!

I recently stayed at the Steps to Capitol 2BR Historic Townhouse Apartment with my two kids, and I can't say enough good things about our experience. This place is an absolute gem! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the heart of Washington, D.C.'s top attractions. Whether you're exploring the Capitol, hitting up local gyms, or browsing the farmers markets, everything is conveniently close by. The proximity to restaurants and the Metro made it easy to get around and fully enjoy our trip. The apartment itself is charming and historic, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It's beautifully maintained, clean, and has all the amenities you could need. The host was incredibly accommodating, making sure every detail was perfect for our stay. If you're planning a trip to D.C., this is the place to stay. It made our visit unforgettable, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. A perfect 10 out of 10!
