"Delightful stay at the George. A real olde worlde hotel with lots of character. Staff really welcoming. Rooms extremely clean and comfortable. Decoration a bit old but in line with the type of hotel, so no issues. Lovely breakfast and really enjoyed the evening meal. No hesitation in recommending. "

"Lovely spacious apartment, immaculately clean with everything you could need for cooking in. Very comfortable bed and beautiful smelling toiletries. The only thing it lacked was a lamp in the living area (as the lighting was extremely bright) and coffee cups that fitted the coffee machine. Overall a great place to stay and friendly, helpful staff. "

"Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Don't be put off by it's roadside position. The rooms are located at the rear of the hotel, with stunning views overlooking the river and Abbey. Our room had french doors out on to the riverside. Super friendly and courteous staff. Look forward to staying again"

"Room had a great view. Ideal location to nip in to the new forest but also wasy to get too. Nice indian restaurant next door, but even better pub round the corner in nomansland called the lamb. Hostess was great and full of helpful ideas on where to go."
